2006, a successful year for Routing International
Software editor specialized in the development of Route Planning Optimization solutions, Routing International looks back to a particularly successful year 2006 both from a business perspective and considering the strategic evolution the company has undergone.
New and confirmed strategic partnerships with customers and partners are indications of the direction taken by Routing International to give a new impulse to its growth and leader position in the market of Route Planning Optimization solutions.
Names such as Eromes, Gastrofish, CSD and the Belgian Federal Government are just some of the new customers which, in the Benelux, have selected Routing International. In France as well, the company has strengthen its position thanks to the confidence demonstrated by new and existing customers such as Geodis, Royal Canin, or SDEZ.
Not less important is the international growth the company has gone through during the year. With the conclusion of a strategic agreement with WSP and the signature of a first contract in Sweden, Routing International extends its market to the North up to Scandinavia. This growth is also marked by the opening of a new office in Switzerland and the signature of a distribution agreement in Germany.
The team is convinced that its growth also goes through the signature of partnership agreements with leading actors offering complementary solutions. The relations the company has developed with actors such as RouteSmart, US-based specialist of high density route optimization, or SAP, worldwide market leader ERP solution provider, should be seen as examples of how Routing International intends to position itself in its market. And the year 2007 has only begin that new projects are materializing in particular for what concerns the collaboration with leading actors from the TMS and Track &Trace world.
These collaborations are the result of Routing International vision that its solutions are composed of services which are components that should easily integrate within heterogeneous architecture (e.g. with ERP, TMS, Track & Trace systems for example) to respond to the complex needs of the customers ‘consuming’ these services. It is with this objective in mind that WinRoute, Routing International flagship product has been adapted over time taking advantage of technologies and architecture such as WebServices, SOAP/XML or SOA. With new developments in progress, the company expects to make new important announcements during the second part of the year.
Finally, 2006 has also seen the launch of a two-years research program where specialists from the academic world are collaborating with Routing International research team to develop the next generation of Route Planning Optimization algorithms.
