One more step in the internationalization of Routing
Six years after the opening of its first subsidiary in France, Routing International has just gone one step further in its international development through its partnership with the company WSP Sweden and the acquisition of a first customer in Sweden.
Renova, a waste management company in the area of Gothenburg, is the first customer resulting from this new collaboration.
WSP Sweden offers its services for the realization of various projects ranging from engineering to consulting services and has a team of over 15 consultants specialized in transport optimization and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) related consultancy.
For Daniel Verougstraete, “to work with an actor as WSP Sweden, which combines a strong market presence throughout Scandinavia with its nearly 2000 collaborators, and a team specialized in the optimization and GIS domain, is a great chance for us. It is a promising collaboration as demonstrated by the currently on-going project at our first common customer.”
Olof Moën in charge of the GIS and optimization cell at WSP Sweden adds, “We have been working for a long time in this field but the tools we could find weren’t in line with the expectations of our clients. Routing International WinRoute product is really impressive as it effectively combines ergonomics and power. I have never seen a tool which makes it possible to go so far in modelling the various dimensions of the route planning optimization problem while remaining so easy and effective to use”.
Routing International has today offices in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland and distributes its products through partners in Germany and Scandinavia. The company still has projects as for the extension of its presence towards other markets during the year 2007.
